YouTube Video Series - 'The Sessions' Pt. 2

Attention to all of you YouTube lovers out there... you can expect some brand new Andy Brown YouTube videos very soon!

That's right! This coming weekend, the band and I will be hard at work filming the second installment of our YouTube Video Series, 'The Sessions'. Filmed across two days, and split between locations in Charlottetown, PE and Fredericton, NB, these videos will be a collection of songs from our sophomore album 'False Alarm', along with a bunch of new material that we've been working on for the new album. You can also expect a few acoustic surprises scattered throughout for good measure. 

UPEI Campus Sessions - 'Tinman'

This past weekend, I was hanging out in my home away from home, otherwise known as Charlottetown, PE. I was in town for a performance at The Wave, UPEI with my good friends Tim Chaisson and Morning Fold.

Luckily, while I was there, I was asked to take part in UPEI's 'Campus Sessions', where I performed a brand new song that I've been working on, that I call 'Tinman'. I hope you enjoy! 

CBC Live Studio One Recording

On Friday, February 3rd, the band and I travelled to Halifax, NS to perform at CBC Studio One, for a live taping in front of a studio audience, that will eventually be broadcast nationally across various CBC outlets, and that will also be available on CBC Radio 2 Concerts on Demand. 

The show went great and we had such an amazing time performing some of our old favourites, and some brand new songs that we've been working on. We can't wait for all of you to hear them! Can you say new album? 

Live on Balcony TV

Last October, I made my way up to Toronto for a showcase at Indie Music Week. While there, my good friends at BalconyTV Toronto asked me to drop by for a chat... and for a performance of course. I certainly do love that balcony!

The song that I performed was called 'What if?', a brand new song that I'm so excited for all of you to hear!  

P.S. (I may have jumped the gun on that release date that I mentioned at the start of this video... but it's in the works, I can promise you that!)

Bluebird North Showcase - ECMA 2012

I just got word that I will be performing at this years Bluebird North Songwriters Stage at ECMA 2012, which will take place in Moncton, NB from April 11th to April 15th! I'm so thrilled to be performing with so many other great East Coast artists and can't wait for this kitchen party to get started!

Well... the Labrador Creative Arts "Shorelines" Festival has officially come to an end. I'm really sad to see the week come to a close, and I couldn't express in words how amazing an experience it was.

I've met some absolutely incredible people, who I am so happy to call my friends. Thanks to all of you for one of the best weeks of my life. I'll never forget it...

Livin' la vida Labrador

I've been having an absolute blast up here in Goose Bay, Labrador, as part of the Labrador Creative Arts "Shoreline" Festival, where I've been putting on songwriting workshops for kids in schools throughout Labrador! 

Today I made my way up to a little town called Postville, which has a population of under 200 people. What a great day!
